One Hyundai: Fashion Confidential for Women

I had an opportunity to attend One Hyundai: Fashion Confidential for Women event. It was my first time to attend such event wherein I learned a lot when it comes with fashion. Here, I learned what is the proper or kind of clothes should I wear that will flatter my height and body type. Though, I know we have our own style, we still need some tips. right? Right! :))

Will upload some photos in the next few days since ang dami pala nya, hehe :D Here are the photos of the event.

I had a pleasure of listening to Ms. Shaila Anareta. She gave us useful tips that will really help us feel and look better. :)

What's your body type?

Facial Shapes. Ms. Shaila said, in order for us to know our true facial shape, we must look in front of the mirror then draw an outline of your face.

Delish food from Paire Cocktails and Pastries. Yum!

My seatmates: Karen, Kai, Lana and Rovie

Will blog every tips that I learned from the event soon. Stay tuned for that! :)

Thank you One Hyundai for hosting Fashion Confidential for Women event.

Have a great day! :))

Outfit Diary: Yes! I named my shoes. oKei? :))

top: Thrifted
accessories: MissGennD | The Landmark
skirt: Never Been Kissed
bag: Tomato
shoes: People Are People

This is what I wore when I attended the One Hyundai-Fashion Confidential seminar-ish. Just matched my colorful, artsy skirt with a sheer black top, red shoes and red accessories. What do you think?

I just love my new red "Kei" shoes from People Are People. Despite the height, it was one of the most comfy shoes to date. Seriously! :) And, yes! I named my shoes. Haha! Actually, there's a story behind the name. I'm just thankful to my blogger friend Kei for the opportunity. This post is for you-Naks! haha! :D Looking forward to MORE projects and MORE KEI shoes, haha! :p

Moving on, can't wait to blog the One Hyundai-Fashion Confidential event up next. I learned a lot from the seminar. I'm sure you will learn something too.

YabangPinoy Launches PHmade: “It’s Worth Buying For”

YabangPinoy Launches PHmade:
“It’s Worth Buying For”

YabangPinoy intensifies its consumer revolution campaign through the PHmade movement.
The pioneering Filipino pride movement, through PHmade, yet again encourages Filipinos to support Filipino ideas, business concepts, products, and services. The campaign aims to educate Filipinos, through videos, print materials and events, on the availability and viability of Filipino brands, and on the positive impact that going local contributes to the economy.

PHmade’s tagline “It’s Worth Buying For” encourages each Filipino to think twice before spending: is it really worth buying for?YabangPinoy believes that small things, when done together, can create a big difference. If each Filipino became conscious of where he spends one peso, he will understand how each choice affects himself, fellow Filipinos, and the country.PHmade also aspires to influence Filipino entrepreneurs into supporting local natural and human resources.

Indeed, patronage of locally made goods and services should be a lifestyle. It enables homegrown brands to improve and compete against foreign brands. The local economy also improves as money goes back and forth between consumer and business, employee and employer. And as more entrepreneurs create, develop, and expand their businesses, more job opportunities are generated. PHmade recognizes Filipino ingenuity and the role of each Filipino in nation-building.

PHmade focuses on seven categories: Produce, Home, Footwear, Fashion, Personal and Home Care, Food and Beverage, and Entertainment. The campaign will continue to collaborate with Filipino entrepreneurs and encourage them to continue to improve their products and services and to always aim for Filipino brands to be global brands.

PHmade is a project of YabangPinoy, the pioneering Filipino pride movement that started in 2005. As it celebrates its 8th anniversary, the organization includes it among numerous Filipino pride projects, such as the Y.A.B.A.N.G. Camp (Youth Achievers Building A Nation of Greatness Camp), YabangPinoy Goes to School, Pinaka-mahabangTodoPatintero, Global Pinoy Bazaar, and many more. In the 8 years that YabangPinoy has immersed itself in various nation-building activities, it re-affirms its belief that true progress and development in our country will start once Filipinos begin living a proudly Filipino lifestyle.

YabangPinoy invites every Filipino to be part of the PHmade movement. As early as now, save November 10- 11 2012 for the 8th Global Pinoy Bazaar – a showcase of Filipino products made with 100% Filipino Love and Pride.

Levi Celerio x Freeway's National Artist Collections Series

As I've mentioned here, I was fortunate to witness the launching of Freeway Art: National Artist Collections Series.

"Now on its 7th installment, Freeway continues to pay tribute to our National Artists through its National Artist Collectors’ Series. This June, Freeway honors its first ever National Artist for Music featured in the well-loved series."

"In the past years, the series featured National Artists Nick Joaquin (Literature), Ang Kiukok (Visual Arts), Jose Garcia Villa (Literature), Ramon Valera (Fashion Design), F. Sionil José (Literature) and Vicente Manansala (Visual Arts). For Fall 2012 Collection of the National Artist Collectors’ Series, Freeway features the works of National Artist for Music, Levi Celerio."

"Held last June 4 at The Row, Glorietta 5, Freeway gathered both fashion and music enthusiasts, media and bloggers, and the family and friends of Levi Celerio to celebrate the life and works of the Filipino music prodigy.  The event was hosted by former Freeway poster girl fresh from Los Angeles, Giselle Tongi. She was joined by special guest Dr. Antonio Hila, Cultural Historian and a Music Critic who shared interesting talks and trivia about Celerio and his dedication and intense love for music. The audience was able to participate in the discussion by sending questions via Live Tweeting flashed on the LED screen onstage.  It was very interesting to discover the personal side of the music legend."

Look! Love that the lyrics is incorporated in the dress. Cool! :)

The event was hosted by G Tongi. The 1st female endorser of Freeway.

"One of the highlights of the night was the spectacle musical performance of Levi Celerio’s songs by Asia’s Queen of Songs, Ms. Pilita Corrales.   Freeway claimed it to be a memorable night of music and history, it was indeed!"

Outfit Diary: Colorful day

dress: The Landmark
cover up: The Landmark
accessories: Bubbles
bag: SM Parisian
shoes: SM Parisian

This is what I wore when I went to Freeway x Celerio event held at The Row, Glorietta 5. I so love my dress here! Colorful noh? That's why  I decided to wear my nude clogs with matching tan bag from SM Parisian Shoes & Bags to complement my colorful dress. What do you think? :))

Upon seeing these photos, na realize ko na hindi pala pantay yung bangs ko haha! :D I cut it 2 days before the event. I'm still contemplating on whether to grow out my bangs or still wear my full bangs but will have a layered hair cut instead. Hhhmm... But, I would definitely want to color my hair!! :))

And oh, if you have instagram, follow me! @itsshopgirljen
