My friends and I attended my tita's 50th birthday in Intramuros. What's so special about it was they made us wear Filipiniana attire. At first, we were hesitant to attend due to "lack of imagination" in what to wear-haha! Good thing I was able to borrow a see-thru cover up made of pinya with pearls and sequence as aesthetics.

Intramuros is still beautiful! I'm glad the people who manage the Intramuros is taking good care of the place. it still has this Old Manila vibe. When we entered Casa Isabel para kang nasa 1900's! staircase made of hard rock. windows made of heavy wood & capis. narra table and chairs. I can't imagine myself living in that era. but, it sounds romantic, don't you think? the heavy dresses(lots of layers), the food. no cellphone, no modern facilities. black & white tv, harana at kundiman sa gabi, etc.
My tita's caterer served filipino dishes too..like inihaw na lechon, kare-kare, afritada. kakanin like suman, palitaw, sapin-sapin. Yum!!
I hope mapaganda pa ang Intramuros for the next generation :)
