Ogalala System in Play

Hey Mommies and Daddies! I know our goals as parents is to give the best of our everything to our child/children. But sometimes with all the toys and books that we give, do we ask ourselves if it's gonna help them growing up? Is it gonna nurture them? Are we investing in a right product? Or are we just buying them just because their playmate, classmate, schoolmate has one and your child is begging you to buy one also? Now, I want to share with you what I learned when I attended a Ogalala workshop that will cater to all children of all ages and how investing with a right products can help brighten our kids future in a fun way.

I attended an Ogalala workshop a few weeks back with Sofi(I later on realized na wala pala syang picture..she's the one taking pix pala from my phone, hehe!).

So what is Ogalala? Derived from the native American Indian term for an underwater irrigation system, Ogalala brings forth life for kids in the form of play, fashion, and exploration. It is a portfolio of global play and fashion brands.

It is a brand, therefore, that lets kids be kids, while assuring parents that they are “investing” in a brand that lets their children become warm, light-hearted, curious, and global.

The Mommy Jen in me became a student for a few hours. Learned a lot at the Ogalala Workshop! :)

This is true, right? Aside from making our children happy, we want them fulfilled.

Children learn through play that’s a fact. They also have different ways of  learning. While there are general ways that kids learn, one method may not always apply to another child. And as O. Ivar Lovaas, a child development expert, said: “If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn.”

Often times, parents try to squeeze in so much information from many sources (sometimes too complicated) but lack the practical application of what they pick up. The result sometimes is either a too-general approach to a child’s learning or an overload of information which quickly exhaust the child.

On the other hand, kids nowadays are growing up in a very multi-media world, exposed to many stimuli. At the heart of each child though, is a need to personally connect or to bond. And then we also know that play is life for children. So as Dr. Lovaas expressed, we need to adapt to this kind of life of children and make learning fun for them through a system in play.

The Ogalala System in Play exactly addresses this need. It has been developed to help identify important milestones and tools that will help support your child’s development, while at the same time helping you bond with your child. This branded system groups together insights, activities, and tools appropriate for each child’s growth stage. IGM recognizes that there are 4 important development areas in a child’s growth: physical, intellectual, language, and social & emotional. While our children naturally develop, and with the help of schooling when they reach a certain age, each of them is still unique. Kids advance per growth stage in their own phase, and our job as parents is to make sure they grow up happy and fulfilled.

Yes, dear parents! Le us always remind ourselves that each child is unique. No need to compare our child's milestone to other kid's milestone. :)

Saw my cellphone gallery with a lot of sweets pictures! Sofi took these pix, btw! So I guess dito sya tumambay? Hahaha!

Anyway, how do we support our child’s learning and development when they are home? How do we address their natural need for play and exploration without compromise? That is where the Ogalala System In Play comes in.
