Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming service, is teaming up with The Music Run™ by Philam Life, a brand new interactive running experience debuting in Manila on 14 November.
The only 5km fun run that puts music at the heart of the experience, The Music Run™ combines the worlds of music and running into a totally immersive music experience unlike any other.
Pinoy Music Runners™ will get to run, dance and party their way through a soundtrack of five unique and interactive 1km Music Zones featuring five music genres – Rock, Pop, Old School, Hip Hop and Dance. The experience is amplified with over 100 concert quality speakers pumping out tunes every step of the way.
Through a first-of-its-kind voting system developed specifically for the run, Pinoy Music Runners™ can request their favorite songs from playlists compiled through a mix of Spotify listens, votes and shares.
Pinoy Music Runners™ can vote for the soundtrack to their run on the The Music Run™ website, where they can also play and share tracks. The playlists are also available on the The Music Run™ Spotify profile page.
Participants will have until 7 November to vote for their favorite tracks, after which the five most popular tracks from each music genre will form the music zone’s playlist for the run.
“The concept of The Music Run™ is a natural fit with Spotify. Music is a big part of the running experience and we are very excited to have The Music Run™ leverage Spotify’s wealth of music data, content and an understanding of listening habits to create playlists for their upcoming run in the Philippines, our fastest-growing market in Asia,” says Sunita Kaur, Managing Director, Spotify (Asia).
The Music Run™ has been making waves in Asia with sell-out crowds in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok and Yangon. For the first Philippine edition happening at Philippine Arena, The Music Run™ is expecting around 10,000 participants.
