Nothing brings people together like good food. And that's what brought us together yesterday when we witnessed the attempt of Unilever Food Solutions with the use of Knorr Liquid Seasoning to create a new record of serving 100 Tapa dishes in one day. Did they break the record?
I'm a fan of Tapa. Until yesterday, I didn't know that possibilities are endless in making different kind of tapas. Well, aside from my favorite tapsilog(tapa, sinangag, itlog), my imagination is limited when it comes to tapa. But can you imagine 100 tapa dishes? Oh yes, it's possible, thanks to Knorr Liquid Seasoning!
I had so much fun checking out the 100 tapa dishes made by 10 Filipino Chefs. Tapa came from the Sanskrit word tapas which means "heat". Over the years, we can find tapa dishes where we have learned to marinade the meat with soy sauce and other seasonings prepared on our table.
Unilever Food Solutions, the maker of Knorr, Lady's Choice, Best Foods and Lipton, hosted the record-breaking event yesterday held at SMX Convention Center, SM Aura. UFS partnered with and challenged ten distinct chefs across the Metro to create their ten signature and unique tapa dishes.
It was my first time to see tapa dishes cooked in a different way. And I'm simply amazed by how the ten chefs incorporated tapa with the use of Knorr Liquid Seasoning in their amazing meals.
