I was recently asked, what I love myself?
The first word that came to my mind is DEDICATED. As a wife and a mom of two, a pre-teen and a toddler, it's easy for me to give all of myself serving them and attend to their needs.
But honestly, at the end of the day I am exhausted. Happy but tired. There are times that I can't even remove my makeup because I'd rather sleep (and regret it in the morning). Dumating na lang ako sa point na naging routine na lang lahat. No more excitement. Parang iniisip ko na lang it's another day, another week of being a dedicated wife and mother.
But this year, God reminded me to give more time to myself. To love myself more and dedicate more time on me because it's much easier to spread love, to do all things with a positive attitude if you have it inside you. I made an effort to wake up before my family so I can spend more time feeding myself with God's word, making schedule for the day while drinking my morning coffee uninterrupted. You have to take care of yourself first because you can't pour from an empty cup.
Kaya mga mommies, don't feel guilty if you give yourself some me-time. Love yourself first and your family will love the more relaxed you. You will always #LookGoodFeelGreat if you give time to yourself. Buti na lang #watsonsph reminded me through this video to dedicate more time loving yourself so you can love others.
