GROCERY ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE VIA SM MARKETS

Let's get personal muna.. Being a mom, of course one of our task is to prepare food on the table. Grocery shopping is one of my favorite activities. I can spend hours inside the supermarket. Haha! Reading all the labels, discovering new products, comparing prices, thinking and googling recipes to try - yes, while inside the supermarket. Lol! Every time kasi na may nakikita akong product, nagsesearch ako saan ko pwede gamitin yung ingredients. In short, Supermarket is one of my happy places. Haha! But sad to say, pandemic happened. ECQ happened. Grocery shopping now became a task na kung pwede hindi mag grocery e hindi mo na gagawin dahil sa virus at ayaw mo namang lumabas.

Kaya being a designated or tribute kung tawagin - haha, my grocery shopping became limited. I scheduled my going out to once a week or once every two weeks. Bilhin na ang dapat bilhin. Kung ano lang ang need bilhin yun lang, no luxury of making ikot na to limit your exposure from other people. I commute via tryk (I dunno how to drive. Lol), carrying all the stuff, disinfecting every item bago ipasok sa bahay. In short, once an enjoyable activities, dine-dread ko na. Huhu. And let's not forget the paranoia, worry and anxiety. May mga days na andami dami kong negative thoughts dahil lumabas ako. Andami kong iniisip na "What if?". But thank God my confidence is with Him. I know I am protected by His blood. But! It doesn't mean pwede akong lumabas every now and then, right? I still have to practice all the guidelines, all the protocols, and sumunod sa authorities for safety of everyone.

As of today, we're reverted to General Community Quarantine or GCQ but our positive covid-19 cases is averaging 4K+ a day. I have to get what is needed at that moment. Sinsabi ko kay daddykins na ayoko ng lumabas kahit may kailangan kami, kaya nagsearch ako ng online grocery that can cater to us - yuhhh super late to join the bandwagon. Lol. Katwiran ko kasi noon, since we're 5 minutes away from the grocery, bakit pa ako magbabayad ng delivery charge if I can do it myself. And syempre, iba pa din ang feel if ikaw ang namimili. Mas nakikita mo yung item, mas nakakapili ka ng better options, and so on. But this time, I decided to try ordering online. After a few searches, naalala ko na I already checked SM Markets online and nasa cart pa yung ibang items pero nagbago isip ko that time kaya hindi ko tinuloy. But this time, binalikan ko sya and decided to give it a try.

Allow me to share my experience with you para if you're also looking for other options ng supermarket e may idea din kayo.

One of the good thing sa SM Markets online is that most of their big supermarkets ay nagca-cater. SM Supermarket and Hypermarket can cater up to the maximum of 5 km.

I love that everything in their website were categorized. Mas madaling hanapin ang mga items. Oh before I forget, I used mobile only when we ordered kaya very convenient. They also have (special) promos and discounts sa ibang items.

We tried ordering gallons of water, snacks, milk, kitchen essentials, bread. Each product may nakalagay ng prices. But sa website naka pack na sya for specific price kasi and kilos.

It's so easy to use and navigate. Just go to the specific category or use the search box to type what you're looking for. I just wish they'll have many options as possible para hindi na kailangang lumabas talaga for the mean time. I know we enjoy grocery shopping, but with SM Markets, it's more convenient and hassle free.

The delivery charge is fixed to Php150 and they can only cater up to 5km away. Kaya check the nearest SM Markets branch. It's also unlimited. Don't worry kasi naka face mask and face shield naman sila. Because they're still on the trial palang, they only accepts cash as mode of payment. And oh, you can still use your SM Advantage Card. Just input them na lang before you check out.

You can also opt for pick-up. Sila lang ang mag gather sa iyo para no need to go inside the grocery store and fall in line. Pwede ka din mamili ng date and time kung kailan mo pick-up or deliver. They have 3 sets of time from opening until closing time. You can also have it delivered same day as long na may slot pa sa time na pinili mo. Cut-off for same day delivery is 1pm.

Online shopping done right! LOL!

I really just wish more products will be available in the SM Markets, because as long as we still have Covid-19, I will still limit my grocery trip to once a month.

Kudos to SM Markets for the convenience and hassle free experience. Uulit kami. Promise.

Happy Momma here!

Kayo, how do you buy your grocery?
