Corso Como 88 Hosts Shopping Party For A Cause

Corso Como 88, a multi-brand store known for its collection of Italian and European labels, recently hosted “Shop For Hope”, an exclusive fundraising activity organized by the Hope In Me Foundation. Held at its One Ayala Mall branch, this meaningful event brought together the worlds of fashion, music, and philanthropy under one roof.

Corso Como 88 Founder Imelda Menguito-Sciandra and Hope In Me Founder Dr. Christina Alberto were joined by esteemed guests led by Bacoor City Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista in an afternoon of shopping for a cause. Also present to lend their support to the talented members of the BHCC were Profiles Asia Magazine President and CEO Jorge A. Hizon and Philippine Press Institute Executive Chair and Trustee Ariel Cervantes Sebellino. The guests were serenaded by the amazing voices of the Bacoor Hope Children’s Chorus (BHCC) and treated to a delicious feast.

Beyond providing a premium shopping experience, Corso Como 88 pledged to give a percentage of the proceeds from each purchase the guests made that day to the BHCC. “We are enamored by the talented children of the BHCC, and it is an honor to be a part of their journey,” Imelda shared.

 Shop For Hope aimed to raise funds to help send the Bacoor Hope Children’s Chorus (BHCC) to Bohol this October for the Philippine International Choir Competition’s Sing’N’Joy Bohol 2024 organized by the prestigious Interkultur Foundation of Germany.

Affectionately called the Hope Choristers, BHCC represents an embodiment of unity, resilience, and the transformative power of music. The group, comprised of underprivileged young citizens from Bacoor, is one of the many initiatives of Dr. Christina Alberto for the Hope In Me Foundation. “Teaching music to underprivileged children is not just about singing, it is about giving hope and inspiration that everything is possible when you dream and work hard for your dream,” she imparted.
