MedEthix, Incorporated, a Philippine-based specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable medicines, is set to expand its advocacy for family healthcare in 2026. Building on the success of its 2025 Aruga Medical Missions, which notably won the prestigious ESG Program of the Year award from the Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards—a recognition highlighting the company's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance excellence in the healthcare sector—the pharmaceutical company is focusing on holistic wellness within the household level, driven by the core mission that a healthy family is the foundation of a strong community.
It is actively working to bridge the gap in healthcare access through its provision of free medical consultations and essential treatments to underserved grassroot communities. For Monaliza Salian, President and CEO of MedEthix, the organization's achievement transcends mere business metrics and lies in its humanitarian impact. She asserts, "To stand side-by-side with our fellow Filipinos, particularly in remote areas, and witness the immediate relief and gratitude, that is the most meaningful measure of the program’s success. The company looks forward to continuing this vital journey of service, ensuring our presence is felt in every community we touch throughout 2026 and beyond”, the spokesperson concluded.
In 2025, MedEthix conducted a nationwide
series of medical missions that successfully bridged the healthcare divide in
remote communities–to an estimated more than 1,000 Filipinos. Collaborating
with local medical societies and institutions across three provinces, the
initiative delivered life-saving specialized care.
Uniting for the Vulnerable: Reaching
communities in Cebu, Tarlac, and Batangas
MedEthix 2025 missions, alongside partners
Salian Foundation, Inc. and IE Medica, Inc., offered care that extended beyond
routine check-ups, emphasizing that true healing demands a holistic approach.
Last February, a collaboration with the
University of Cebu Medical Center enabled offering specialized pediatric
services for children and orthopedic care for the elderly in Cebu. More
importantly, a key focus remained on women's health, as an OB-GYN expert was
brought in to provide critical cervical cancer screenings, ensuring mothers and
grandmothers received essential, life-saving attention.
Then last August, MedEthix reached members of
the Aeta community in Sitio Manabayukan, Brgy. O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac,
bringing genuine care where access is traditionally scarce. This mission was
done in collaboration with the Tarlac Medical Society, led by Dra. Alicia
Robles Valdez, and the Philippine Pediatric Society-Central Luzon Chapter, to
provide free healthcare consultations and medicines and vitamins to the community.
The outreach efforts also focused on long-term
wellness and empowering families. In Alitagtag, Batangas last October,
family-centered care was brought through a partnership with Hiraya Women's
Institute, Birthing Center & Clinical Laboratory. With the expertise of Dr.
Jan Sandoval, certified OB-GYN expert and fellow of the Philippine Obstetrical
and Gynecological Society, volunteers distributed essential medicines and
offered holistic support to the community.
Living the Promise: To Heal Always and in All Ways
The 2025 medical missions served as a vital
diagnostic of the healthcare gaps in remote areas. As MedEthix focuses their
services to family healthcare solutions this 2026, they are aligning this to
their medical missions, expanding its scope to include reproductive health,
preventative screenings, and primary care for women, preventive wellness for
men, and essential nutritional support for children.
As the organization looks forward to
continuing this journey of service this year, the focus remains clear:
nurturing the health and wellness of Filipino families to build a stronger,
more equitable nation.
