Watch the best of Pinoy cinema at the 2026 Ortigas Art Festival

Now in its ninth year, the Ortigas Art Festival continues to bring its vision of Art for All to life, transforming mall spaces into vibrant destinations where creativity is accessible to everyone. Showcasing works by acclaimed artists and art collectives from across the Philippines, this year's festival invites visitors to immerse themselves in a celebration of art, culture, and community.

Embracing its theme, "Elevate," the festival extends its reach by introducing film into its lineup for the first time, giving mall-goers and cinephiles the chance to experience some of the most critically acclaimed movies across the decades alongside inspiring visual and immersive art.

Running until July 31, 2026, at Cinema 4, Promenade, the Ortigas Art Festival presents a curated 14-day film program, with free screenings open to the public daily at 6 PM. Making its debut as part of the festival this year, the lineup celebrates the richness of Filipino cinema through timeless classics, award-winning features and documentaries, and a showcase of emerging independent filmmakers.

Classics Restored

Celebrating the enduring legacy of Philippine cinema, the festival features newly restored versions of iconic films by some of the country's most celebrated filmmakers. Audiences can rediscover Lino Brocka's Jaguar, Lamberto Avellana's A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino, Kidlat Tahimik's Why Is Yellow the Middle of the Rainbow?, and Manuel Conde's Genghis Khan on the big screen.

Features and Documentaries

The program also spotlights powerful contemporary stories through acclaimed feature films and documentaries. Catch JL Burgos' Alipato at Muog, Brillante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa, Paul Alexander Morales' Mulat, Jaime Pacena II's Kono Basho, Sari Dalena's Cinematyrs, and Sevilla Faustino's Ang Babae sa Likod ng Mambabatok.

Indie and Regional Shorts

Shining a light on the next generation of Filipino storytellers, the festival will hold dedicated short film screenings on July 21 and 28, featuring works from regional and independent filmmakers, including Elian Idioma, Franky Arrocena, Handiong Kapuno, Milo Tolentino, Jenser Recosana, and Rey Anthony Villaverde.

Beyond the screenings, festival-goers can also join free art and storytelling workshops, offering hands-on learning experiences led by some of the country's most respected artists and creative practitioners.
