One of the questions I get asked most often is, "How do you balance being a full-time mom while creating content and working with brands?" The truth is, I'm still figuring it out.
I love what I do. As a lifestyle blogger and content creator, I enjoy the hustle. I'm invited to product launches, media events, and exciting brand experiences that inspire my content.
But there are also days when I have to make a tough choice.
As much as I look forward to every event, motherhood always comes first. Brand opportunities will come again, but my daughter's safety and well-being will always be my top priority. These moments have reminded me that success isn't about saying yes to every opportunity; it's about knowing what matters most.
To be honest, missing an event used to make me worry that I was passing up opportunities, or worse, that brands would stop inviting me. There were times when I had to decline several invitations because of my responsibilities as a mom, and eventually invitations stopped coming. Sad, yes. But I have to accept that I need to prioritize my family.
Over time, though, I realized that motherhood wasn't holding me back. It was shaping how I work, make decisions, and grow my career. Being a mom has taught me that success isn't about saying yes to every opportunity. It's about knowing my priorities and trusting that the right opportunities will come. Kaya nagging favorite mantra ko yun: when it’s for you, windows and doors will open for you.
Plans change constantly, both at home and at work. Motherhood has taught me to adapt, slow down, and trust the process. Rather than stressing about what's next, I use quieter moments to improve my blog, learn new skills, and prepare for future opportunities.
One of the biggest blessings in my journey as a mom who wants to help provide for our family has been joining Madiskarte Moms PH. It's more than a community of mompreneurs. It's a safe space where women genuinely support one another, openly share their experiences, celebrate each other's wins, and generously share practical business tips rather than gatekeeping what they've learned. Being surrounded by moms who understand the same challenges reminds me that I don't have to do it all alone.
Since most of my work happens online, a reliable internet connection is part of my everyday routine. Whether I'm replying to client emails, uploading content, or staying connected with my family, PLDT Home helps me stay productive and connected.
To every mom who's thinking about starting a business or dreaming of becoming a mompreneur, believe in yourself.
