SM Eco Bag and Lowe Philippines Exhibit Launch

Ever since we stopped using plastics, I always carry one eco bag inside my bag. It's easier for me to use eco bag when I go to the grocery store or when I buy something. It's safer to use also especially if you're commute and umuulan tapos naka paper bag lang pinamili mo? nakow! Hassle sa bangs. haha! Well, aside from these reasons, we should also know that reusing, reducing and recycling is everyone's duty in the race to save Mother Earth.

Speaking of eco bag, SM Malls in partnership with LOWE Philippines held an art exhibit with murals created out of reused plastic bags and were displayed at Atrium of SM Aura Premier.

Called Eco Bag artworks, the murals are part of an award-winning campaign by advertising agency Lowe Philippines. The agency believes that the campaign, which aims to create environmental awareness about the improper disposal of plastics, can reach its intended audience more effectively by holding it at an SM Mall.

This project also coincides with SM's own campaign that encourages its customers to use eco bags for the shopping needs.
"While plastic bags are still used, surely there can be creative ways to repurpose them. The award-winning plastic campaign to promote SM Eco Bags did exactly that. When we choose to reuse, whether it's plastic bags or SM Eco Bags, we are all helping the environment, in out own small way.", Leigh Reyes, president of Lowe Philippines

Up-close, can't believe that these artworks only used plastic to create an art mural.

The Lowe campaign has received several recognitions from various prestigious advertising awards, including two Cannes Lions and has been shortlisted for several categories of the Clio Awards.

We were also given the opportunity to participate by dropping our own used plastic bags to be collected to create a 4th art mural. Can't wait for the outcome.

Kudos to Lowe Philippines and SM Malls for giving back to our environment. I would definitely do my part to save Mother Earth will choose to reuse!
