SISIG TOFU RECIPE ALA MAX'S

If there is one positive thing that I can thank our stay at home situation is that aside from spending time with my family, I also spent cooking and baking in the kitchen. And dahil ayaw naman namin ng the usual ulam dishes everyday, it was a challenge for me to come up with dishes na namimiss na din namin kainin sa labas. 

And if you're following me on my IG Story, madalas kami sa Max's ng fambam because of Sisig Tofu. Kaya naman naisipan ko din syang gayahin para maiba naman. After hours of searching for recipe, and trying for 3x na, nakuha na namin ang lasa or malapit lapit sa lasa ng Max's (according to daddykins and Sofi). Yaaay! Btw, hindi sya makulay dahil hindi ko sya nilagyan ng sili, or nilagyan masyado ng black pepper dahil I have to keep in mind that #TeamSofIsha will also eat. Kaya dapat kid-friendly when I prepare our dishes.


Ingredients:
  • Tofu
  • Oyster Sauce
  • Liquid Seasoning
  • Mayonnaise (I used Kewpie Japanese Mayo for extra creaminess, and yun din ang available ko. Hehe)
  • Magic Sarap
  • All purpose cream
  • 1/2 lemon
  • onion
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Butter (not in the pic)
  • Siling pangsigang (optional)
  • Siling paraka (optional)


Procedure:
  • Hiwain ang tokwa into cubes and ilagay sa bowl. Marinate it with magic sarap and black pepper. Pagkatapos magmarinate ng ilang minuto, prituhin ito sa kawali
  • Hiwain ang onion at mga sili
  • Sa isang bowl maghalo ng 5 tbsp. of mayonnaise, 3/4 cups of oyster sauce, and 3-4 tbsp of liquid seasoning. Mag-add ng konting paminta
  • Magpiga ng half lemon sa sauce. Kung walang lemon maaring gumamit ng 5-7 pieces of calamansi. Haluing mabuti
  • Sa isang kawali, mag init ng butter at lagyan ng konting mantika
  • Igisa ang sibuyas at sila (kung meron man). Ilagay ang sauce at haluin ng mabuti
  • Ilagay ang all purpose cream (pwede mo ng tanchahin ang lasa na naayon sa gusto mong creaminess). Minsan kong binuhos ang buong 250ml and naging masabaw sya. Kaya tancha tancha lang dapat
  • Ilagay ang prinitong tokwa at haluing mabuti para kumapit ang sauce mixture


TADAAAAAHHHH!!!! Serve it hot!


Napakadali lang gawin, at healthy pa. Nilagyan ko ng siling panigang yan pero hindi ko na uulitin kasi hindi masyadong nakakain yung mga bata. Haha!

Let's take advantage of ECQ by experimenting in the kitchen. Madaming pwedeng gawin para hindi din masyadong magsaawa na yun at yun lang. Hindi ako expert sa pagluluto pero I believed cooking is trial and error hanggang sa makuha mo ang lasa na gusto mo.
