#TEAMSOFISHA BAKED BETTY CROCKER RAINBOW COOKIE

Hellooooo!!! How's quarantine life? What day is it today?  Haha! From ECQ to MECQ and yung iba naka GCQ na, almost all summer (dry) season nasa loob lang tayo ng bahay. We couldn't emphasized more the need to #StayAtHome for the sake of our family and our frontliners.

If you have kids, iniisip natin paano sila malilibang noh? They also need physical activities and a place kung saan sila pwede magbigay ng kanilang energy. And one of the activities na pinagkakaabalahan namin lately is cooking and baking. Aside that it's fun, the joy they get with their finish product is priceless. Winning point din that it creates memories with them. I can still remember my younger days na nagbake kami ng brownies and butterscotch as a family, pati pag gawa ng pitchi-pitchi, hamburger. Kaya now that we're in quarantine, I thought of letting #TeamSofIsha bake and help me in the kitchen, minsan si Isha nagvovolunteer din. Hehe.

So, my sister from NZ came home last October and as a pasalubong she gave us the Betty Crocker Rainbow Mix. Haven't tried making cookies, kaya naman excited kami to make them.

Honestly, prior to quarantine, kapag mga ganitong cookies or baking mas gusto ko binibili na lang. Nahahaselan kasi ako mag set up, hindi din kumpleto ang baking tools ko and of course for convenience bibili ka na lang, d ba?

Pero, quarantine made us do it. And you know what? Iba pala talaga ang satisfaction kapag ikaw mismo ang nagluto and bake tapos success pa. Plus points din na you're making memories with the fambam while baking and cooking.

So one day during our earlier lockdown, we decided to bake this Betty Crocker Rainbow Mix. Since ready mix na sya and wala naman cutting or pag gamit ng knife I let Sofi and Isha baked this.

Maganda sa Betty Crocker Rainbow Mix kasama na nya yung mga chocolate buttons. Medyo nakulangan kami bandang huli kasi napansin namin na kinakain pala ni Isha yung iba. Hahaha!

Sharing with you the recipe and ingredients, in case you're wondering.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup or 80g butter, softened
  • 1 egg (extra large)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C
  2. Stir cookie mix, butter and egg in a large bowl. Mix until combined
  3. Measure your cookie dough and roll into balls
  4. Placed a baking paper in your baking tray
  5. Flattened the cookie dough a bit and press colorful chocolate buttons
  6. Bake for 1418 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on trays for 10 more minutes

Where's the other chocolate buttons, Isha? Lol!

So colorful! They are ready to bake.

CHARRRAAAANNN!!!

It's a bit overdone because we want them a bit toasty. So yummyyyyyy!!!

The cookie taste yummier when dip in milk.

Betty Crocker Mixes are available in supermarket. Will try their other mixes soon on my next grocery run.

Share naman kayo how you spend time with your kids now that we're quarantine. It doesn't matter if you're cooking, baking, playing. As long as all of you are together, you're already making memories with them. Stay safe.
