Iloilo Business Park once again takes center stage in the country’s growing movement toward sustainable urban living as it hosts the 12th Iloilo Bike Festival this June. This year’s theme, “Ride the Vibe,” sets the tone for a month-long celebration of cycling culture, active mobility, and community connection.
Now firmly established as one of the Philippines’ most anticipated active lifestyle events, the festival gathers everyday commuters, elite cyclists, families, and fitness enthusiasts in a shared celebration of movement—reinforcing Iloilo’s position as a leading bike-friendly city in the country.
The festival opens on June 5 with Bike to Work
Day, activating the city’s workforce to embrace cycling as a practical and
purposeful mode of transport. This is followed by the official opening ceremony
at Park Square at 8:00 AM, marking the start of a month-long program that
reimagines mobility as both culture and community practice.
Throughout June, Iloilo Business Park becomes
an evolving landscape of cycling-led experiences. The Bike Exhibit at Festive
Walk Iloilo presents an interactive look into cycling culture and innovation,
while the Bike Food Crawl along the Festive Walk Parade transforms the
township’s dining corridor into a curated journey for riders and visitors
alike. Java Road hosts the Mega Criterium Race on June 13 and 14, where
competitive cyclists push speed and endurance in a fast-paced urban circuit.
Community, Culture, and Competition
The festival expands its reach through
inclusive programming that celebrates all ages and cycling levels. On June 20,
the Push Bike Race at the Transport Hub highlights young riders and introduces
the next generation to cycling in a festive, family-centered environment.
On June 21 at Park Square, the Iloilo Duathlon
2.0 opens the day with an endurance challenge combining running and cycling. By
afternoon, the space transforms into a cultural stage with the Battle of the
Bands, before thousands of cyclists join the Grand Fun Ride—a citywide
procession that embodies unity and shared movement. The day concludes with the
12th Bike Festival Awards and Closing Ceremony, marking the culmination of a
month-long celebration.
June 24 to 27 features the Electric Car and
Solar Show along the Festive Walk Parade, spotlighting clean mobility
innovations and sustainable transport technologies.
A Future-Ready City
For Iloilo Business Park, the festival
reflects a long-term commitment to shaping communities built around
accessibility, movement, and shared public life. With its 72-hectare
masterplanned layout, the township integrates pedestrian corridors, cycling
lanes, and interconnected destinations, functioning not only as a venue but as
an active participant in Iloilo’s evolving mobility culture.
Through continued collaboration between the
public and private sectors, the Iloilo Bike Festival underscores the city’s
transformation into a place where urban growth, environmental responsibility,
and community life move forward together.
