Tambunting Pawnshop joins BPI partner store network to bring banking closer to Filipinos

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is expanding access to banking services through a new partnership with Tambunting Pawnshop, bringing essential financial solutions closer to underserved and community-based markets across the Philippines.

Through BPI Agency Banking, Tambunting Pawnshop officially joins the growing network of May BPI Dito partner stores, enabling customers to access select BPI services within their neighborhood Tambunting branches. Effective February 2026, customers can conveniently apply for BPI products, deposit to and withdraw funds from their BPI accounts, and cash out transactions at over 100 Tambunting Pawnshop Kahera ng Bayan branches.

By bringing financial services closer to where people live and work, the partnership helps address common barriers to banking access, particularly in areas with limited access to traditional bank branches.

“We have always believed that the Agency Banking model is a powerful driver of financial inclusion. Our approach has been deliberate and strategic—ensuring that the right products are delivered through the right partners to truly serve our communities. We are proud to welcome Tambunting Pawnshop as one of our key partners, and together, we are committed to accelerating access to inclusive financial services and expanding opportunities for Filipinos across the nation,” said TG Limcaoco, President and CEO of BPI.

“For over 140 years, Tambunting has grown alongside the Filipino people and earned their trust. Through this partnership with BPI, we can help more communities gain easier access to secure and reliable banking services,” said Miguel Tambunting, President and CEO of Tambunting Pawnshop.

The collaboration reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to financial inclusion and community empowerment. By combining BPI’s banking capabilities with Tambunting Pawnshop’s network, the partnership creates more accessible and convenient financial touchpoints for Filipinos who rely on neighborhood-based services.
