FEEL THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS AT SM CITY NORTH EDSA

SM City North Edsa recently launch the most magical Christmas celebration ever! Christmas season is one of my fave season and can't believe we will be celebrating t in a few weeks. Wheeeee!!! I love, love Christmas. The joy it brings to people is contagious. And I'm so excited to share with you that our favorite Disney characters will be joining the most wonderful time of the year!

OUR DISNEY LIVE! MICKEY'S MUSIC FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE AT KIA THEATER

Last September 1, despite being it a school night, Sofi and went to the 1st day of Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival at the newly opened Kia Theater in Cubao. Seeing the kilig face of Sofi while watching the show was worth the hassle of riding the MRT during rush hour. Honestly, I almost backed out. Haha! We were already lined up in the MRT but since it was rush hour, it took us almost 45 minutes before we were able to ride the train. It was Sofi who insisted to still go and watch. And I being a good mom (hehe), don't want to dampen her spirit because she was super duper excited to watch, finally agreed. And boy, am I glad we watched it. What I loved about it? It doesn't matter if you're young or old.. you'll still feel giddy watching the show.

Aaahhh! Can't wait to watch the Disney Live! Mickey's Music Festival with Sofi! I grew up watching this awesome, cute couple and until now I still get kilig watching them, hehe!

Sofia the First, The Royal Meet and Greet

Hear ye, hear ye! Sofi and I are huge fans of Sofia the First since we watched the special screening of their pilot episode of Sofia the First, Once upon a Princess. You can check my post here. And since then, we've been watching it daily at Disney Junior. Why I love Sofia? Even if she's a princess, surrounded with maarte princess(haha), she's still grounded and kind hearted. So, when Sofi and I saw her big poster at Toy Kingdom in SM Makati and found out that she'll visit us, we got really excited! 

Toy Kingdom is highly honoured to present Her Royal Highness, Princess Sofia the First on her Royal Meet and Greet in the Philippines! During the royal visit, fans will get to take pictures with Sofia and enjoy fun games and activities at the activity area.

Disney's Teen Beach Movie

DISNEY UNLEASHES CONTEMPORARY SURF-ROCK MUSICAL

"TEEN BEACH MOVIE" ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 4, AT 10 A.M. ON DISNEY CHANNEL

The movie stars Ross Lynch (Disney Channel's "Austin & Ally") as Brady, Maia Mitchell (ABC Family's "The Fosters") as McKenzie, Grace Phipps (ABC Family's "The Nine Lives of Chloe King") as Lela, Garrett Clayton as Tanner, John Deluca as Butchy, Chrissie Fit (ABC's "General Hospital") as Cheechee, Jordan Fisher as Seacat, Mollee Gray (Disney Channel's "High School Musical") as Giggles, Kent Boyd as Rascal, William T. Loftis as Lugnut, Jessica Lee Keller as Struts, Kevin Chamberlin (Disney Channel's "Jessie," Broadway's "The Addams Family") as Dr. Fusion and Steve Valentine (Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie," Disney XD's "I'm In The Band") as Les Camembert. Made for kids age 6-14 and their families, the summer splash - "Teen Beach Movie" introduces confident, resilient surfer McKenzie and her carefree boyfriend, Brady, a fan of the retro surf musical movie, "Wet Side Story." On the morning of McKenzie's planned departure for boarding school, she and Brady catch one last epic wave which mysteriously carries them right into "Wet Side Story," circa 1962, where they meet Seacat, Giggles, Rascal and Cheechee, among others. Amidst the spontaneous song and dance, there's trouble in paradise -- it's bikers versus surfers for control of the local hangout, but Mack and Brady unwittingly interfere with the movie's star-crossed plot, one that would pair a surfer (teen matinee idol Tanner) and a biker (Lela, the sister of Butchy, the biker gang's leader). Typical of the teen beach movie genre, a kooky subplot has mad scientists Les Camembert and Dr. Fusion scheming to alter weather patterns and take over the local hangout -- and then the world.

After creating a perfect ratings wave, amassing 8.4 million total viewers, with its US premiere, Disney Channel is primed to unleash Seacat, Giggles, Rascal, Lugnut, Struts, Butchy, Cheechee, Tanner, Lela, Brady and Mack, in the Philippine television   premiere of "Teen Beach Movie," an exuberant song, sand and surf fest set inside a retro beach party movie. The storyline depicts how 1960s sensibilities motivate a modern girl to affirm her capability, strengths and goals. Kids and families can watch the fun and exuberant Disney Channel Original Movie as it premieres on SUNDAY, AUGUST 4 at 10 a.m. on Disney Channel.

Catch Sofia the First: Once upon a Princess TV Premiere

Last Saturday, we were invited to watch the pilot episode of Sofia the First, Once upon a Princess. The screening was held at Eastwood Mall, Ultra 7 Cinema. 

We've been seeing the advertisement of this princess cartoon in Disney Junior and we all know little girls like my daughter wants to be a princess, right? Kaya excited sya to watch it. Super tuwa pa ng daughter ko kasi magka name sila and same spelling pa, hehe! :P So when I told her we were invited to watch the advance screening, super duper excited sya!  :))

The whole family enjoyed the story. My hubby said na he's glad the story is light, with moral lessons and hindi super bad yung "villain".

Set in the storybook world of Enchancia, the movie introduces Sofia, an average girl whose life suddenly transforms when her mother marries the king and she becomes a princess, Sofia the First. Sofia must learn to navigate the extraordinary life of royalty while holding on to her own hopes and dreams. Her journey to being the best she can be also paves the way for those around her to realize how special they each are.  Disney's Cinderella makes an appearance in the movie to offer Sofia some words of wisdom – princess to princess.

Sofia's royal adventure begins as she prepares to move into the castle with her mom, starting a new family with her step-father, King Roland II, and step-siblings, Amber and James. Helping Sofia in her journey are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy - Fauna, Flora and Merryweather (the beloved fairies seen in Disney's classic "Sleeping Beauty") and royal steward, Baileywick, as well as a group of cute woodland creatures led by a wise-talking rabbit, Clover. Sofia soon discovers that looking like a princess isn't all that difficult, but displaying honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace is what makes one truly royal.  

Don't forget to watch "Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess," an enchanting, music-filled animated Disney Junior television movie for the whole family, 

SUNDAY, MAY 19 at 11.00am on Disney Channel and MONDAY, MAY 27 at 1.00pm on Disney Junior.  A "Sofia the First" television series will premiere in July 2013.

Alongside the debut of "Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess", Disney Channel and Disney Junior will launch the DisneyChannel-asia.com and DisneyJunior-Asia.com/Sofia website featuring a fully immersive royal experience. Kids can get creative, creating and personalizing their own prince or princess avatars with the Royal Me game, dressing up Sofia’s room or just having fun with the many activity pages and videos available on the site.
