Consisting of bikinis, tops and shorts, the collection boasts a fun and bright theme, befitting the vibe of what summer is all about. This season, Solo incorporates popular trends to its collection such as stripes, color blocking and Aztec prints. For colors, it’s a blend of warm hues such as orange, red and yellow mixed with cool hues such as blue and green.

Ecstatic over their big win, Derek Espinosa and Ganiel Krishnan, both 18 years old, rose above the many hopefuls aiming to be Solo’s new brand ambassadors. Standing at 6’2, Derek said what makes him a good model is because of his kind heart and versatile personality. Apart from modeling, Derek is also a business management student who loves to play sports like basketball, swimming and running. The pair got to experience a photo shoot with Doc Marlon, one of the most sought out fashion photographers in the Philippines. “Being in the solo shoot was a very wonderful experience. Doc Marlon did the shoot and he was really nice and artistic. His creativeness inspired me to do much better”, Ganiel said. Studying mass communications at Far Eastern University, this outgoing half-Indian, half-Filipina beauty is also talented in the field of music and acting. While both love modeling, Ganiel wants to pursue an acting career while Derek wants to become a successful businessman in the future.

Just want to share what I wore when we went to Tagaytay. Don't you wish that we can experience the same chill of Tagaytay weather here in Manila? I do! Oh well. With the heat and all, I guess we just have to face that summer is just around the corner. :) Time to work out and prepare our bikini ready body. HA! :D

Oh, how much we love to eat, right? Good news to all food lovers out there! Manang's Chicken has a lot in store for us this 2013. 

Manang's Chicken is a restaurant that offers unique and quality Filipino-inspired comfort dishes in a fast casual setting. Their specialty is their double deep fried chicken with Manang's secret soy garlic sauce. 

And because Manang's Chicken is consistent to their commitment to offer yummy and affordable food, new and exciting items to be added on their menu this 2013! Yay! :D

The one that started it all. Gotta taste their signature double deep fried crispy chicken with Manang's secret soy garlic sauce. Choose from Original, Mild Spicy or Extra Spicy Sauce.

This month, they're re-launching a bigger and crunchier Garlic Pork rice meal. 

Meat-lovers rejoice! Big, juicy pork chop deep-fried until perfectly crispy and topped with their special garlic topping. Served with rice and a vinegar dipping sauce.

Last January, they launched their fresh side dishes such as the coleslaw, buttered corn and macaroni salad.

They're rice serving was also "upsized", making it 50% more than the usual.

High Tea at SM Babies' Special Moments

Last Monday, I had a privilege to attend one of the cutest tea time with the hottest mommies and cutest babies, thanks to SM Babies. It was held at Manila Peninsula Conservatory. 

Staying true to its tagline “We got it all for you,” SM Department Store adds another feather to its cap with the launch of SM Babies. Although the line has been around for a while under SM Kids' Fashion, SM wanted to give it its own identity and focus on a complete line of apparel that caters specifically to children up to two years of age.

To celebrate this milestone, the same team behind SM Kids' Fashion put together a photo exhibit called “Special Moments” at the Manila Peninsula Conservatory. Pilar Tuason, one of the country's most sought-after photographers, shot 14 of Metro Manila's loveliest moms and their little bundles of joy.

The event was hosted by the ever lovely, Ms. Issa Litton. 

We learned a lot from the little mini talk with Model Georgia Schulze-del Rosario, Amanda Griffin and Andi Eigenmann. They shared their tips of taking care of their little ones and their love of SM Babies.

The team handpicked all the moms who participated in the exhibit. From actress Andi Eigenmann to radio darling Delamar Arias to former TV personality Nicole Hernandez-de los Angeles, “Special Moments” shows that all types of moms shop at SM, not only because SM has it all, but also because they believe in SM Babies.

The exhibit also included society moms Marta Araneta, Isabel Olondriz, Maia Martirez-Hing, and Grace Barbers-Baja, as well as sisters Emillie Montenegro-Yupangco and Rose Montenegro-Boonpongsa. Model Georgia Schulze-del Rosario, blogger Tin Dychiao, and make-up artist Angela Yeo, are also featured alongside designer Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez and Magazine Editor Juana Manahan-Yupangco.

We were serenaded by Christan Bautista.
